Demonstration
As captive audience, I watch the demonstration
while she moves in sync with the ambience
complementing each indication of style
presented by glamorous twists and turns
She gazes at herself through me
investigating connections subtle or otherwise
convincing me there may be similarities
beyond the physical ensnarement
I resist the temptation to dance
Complete surrender does not fit me well
Standing still is what I do best
She apparently agrees on that matter
content to stay in romantic motion
playing the part for both of us
